This method is known as “Lectio Divina”, which means Divine Reading or prayerful reading. It focuses not so much upon having to study Scripture which would require a certain theological background, but more on Sacred Scripture as the Living Word from which we can learn life lessons and be encouraged to persevere. We come together every other Thursday evening, starting with dinner around 6pm, but it’s also possible to skip dinner and join us at 8:00pm for tea. Our evenings typically end around 10:00 PM, so even if you have early class or have to work, you can get home at a reasonable hour. Currently we have more than ten people listed and due to the logistics we are thinking about starting a second group, as it is too complicated to cook for more than 8 to 10 persons.
